Xavier A. Palacios founded The Law Offices of Xavier A. Palacios & Associates in 2005, a boutique law firm, which specializes in Criminal, Civil and Immigration litigation. In 2013, due to the firm's expansion, Xavier changed the name of The Law Offices of Xavier A. Palacios & Associates to Palacios Law Group.

Xavier Palacios started his career in 1996 as an attorney at the esteemed firm Pillari and Vella Esqs. That firm specialized in litigation, tackling high profile criminal and personal injury cases. In 2001 Xavier was made a partner in the new firm of Pillari, Vella & Palacios, LLP, a firm that became recognized as a pioneer of innovative trial techniques in federal immigration cases.

Xavier received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in 1992 where he majored in Political Science. He graduated from Boston University School of Law with his Jurisprudence Doctorate degree in 1995 and was admitted as a New York Attorney in 1997. Xavier is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyer's Association, the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association and the National Immigration Project.

When not practicing law Xavier dedicates much of his time to non-for-profit entities and the people they serve. He is very active with Huntington Hospital and currently serves as a mentor to a young boy through the Nassau County Bar Association at Westbury Middle School.

In 2010, Xavier co-founded Friends of Huntington Station Latin Quarter, which is an organization established to revitalize Huntington Station through business development, social conditioning, beautification, youth programs, mentorship, vocational training and community counseling. The town of Huntington and Suffolk County issued Proclamations in recognition of the organization's efforts. Xavier also is an elected member of the Huntington Public School Board. He was elected in 2012 and serves as an active member on the board.

Xavier provides creative litigation techniques to clients with complex legal issues but he also believes strongly in volunteering his services to the less fortunate and under his leadership, Xavier's law firm has maintained a strong tradition of pro-bono service for the under represented.

Steven H. Palacios
Attorney at Law
As a recent graduate from Law School Steven garnered the most experience possible in his three years at Touro Law. In his first summer internship he worked for the Suffolk County Attorney's office in the general litigation bureau.

There he provided research and memoranda of law for many open cases and issues affecting the county. He drafted a preliminary injunction for a gang initiative to prevent gang activity in a vicinity plagued with crime. During that summer he also attended several depositions, 50-H hearings, and had the opportunity to second seat an attorney for a major federal case in the Eastern District of New York.

Steven's subsequent internship he earned the Equity and Criminal Justice Fellowship from the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association that provided him with a paid internship at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. There he Interviewed domestic violence complainants and helped Assistant District Attorney's provide plea bargain offers to defense attorneys. Conferenced with defense attorneys and became accustomed with daily court proceedings. He also researched evidence rules to provide judicial notice for a trial, provided insight in selecting several jury panels, and sat on over five criminal trials.

During his years of law school and currently, Steven is the director of youth and community development for the Friends of Huntington Station Latin Quarters. A community not for profit organization that focuses on the underprivileged, misinformed, and unrepresented population in a diversified and segregated region. As a member of the organization he published an article for the Long Island Hispanic newspaper Noticias on the significance of the Marcelo Lucero case and hate crimes in the region. He also takes troubled youth and teaches them the sport of wrestling.

In Steven's second year of law school he was admitted into a clinical externship in the Mortgage and Bankruptcy area. For his last two years of law school he counseled clients, investigated facts, reviewed financial records and negotiated on behalf of clients. Specifically, he prepared and filed Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions. He appeared at hearings in U.S. Bankruptcy Court and at Mandatory Foreclosure Settlement Conferences. Steven has researched and drafted litigation documents necessary for Foreclosure Settlement Conferences.

Prior to law school Steven endeavored in several entrepreneurial projects as he managed his family's Real Estate firm, and helped create a mortgage company. Steven was a New York State Champion in wrestling and attended Purdue University on an athletic scholarship.

Mr. Palacios is fluent in Spanish and he continues to endure rigorous workouts as he trains several elite wrestlers on Long Island.

Jessica Stoker
Attorney at Law
Jessica Stoker joined Palacios Law Group, P.C in August of 2013. She is a Cum Lade graduate of Touro Law class of 2013 and was ranked in the top of her graduating class.

Throughout her time at Touro Law she was recognized both for her academic achievements as well as her contributions to the Law Center. Ms. Stoker received a commencement award by Touro Law for her Exemplary Contributions to the Quality of Student Life and holds CALI awards for her academic excellence in two Criminal Law Externship courses. During her time at Touro Law, Ms. Stoker held multiple intern and externships at the Suffolk County District Attorney's office as well as the Nassau County District Attorney's office. As a law student she has worked with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Domestic Violence Unit, District Court Bureau and Special Investigations Unit. Her educational and professional experience includes holding a position as a law assistant for the Suffolk District Attorney. Through an Advanced Criminal Law Externship, Ms. Stoker, under a student practice order litigated criminal misdemeanor cases and prosecuted a criminal case load which involved her engagement in investigation, discovery, criminal hearings and trial prep as well as prosecuting a criminal case.

Prior to entering the legal field, Ms. Stoker worked as a victims advocate for the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. While at the Coalition, Ms. Stoker navigated victims and families dealing with issues of domestic violence through the civil and criminal court systems and the Suffolk County Police Precincts. She provided emergency hotline service to people in need, aided victims in obtaining orders of protection and safe housing.

Ms. Stoker also holds a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Suffolk University, Boston Massachusetts. As an undergraduate student, Ms. Stoker attended Stony Brook University where she graduated as a scholar athlete. While at Stony Brook, Ms. Stoker was a four year division one women's lacrosse athlete and during her senior year served as the team Capitan of the University team.’/p…

Ms. Stoker is also a member of the Huntington Station Latin Quarter and as a member she volunteers her time in the organization's annual holiday toy drive and Community Street clean. Ms. Stoker is interested in helping preserve unity in her community and curb violence on the streets. During 2011, Ms. Stoker wrote an article which was published in Notica on the story of Marcelo Lucero and the issue of Hate Crimes in Suffolk County.’/p…

During Ms. Stoker's free time she can be found spending time with her family and her French Bulldog and Shih tuz. She also co-founded and owns the custom bow tie company JSPHE Bow Ties.

Yvette Linares-Krivi

Yvette Linares-Krivi is an associate attorney at Palacios Law Group, where she specializes in the field of personal injury. 

She has worked extensively in matters involving motor vehicle accidents, truck and bus accidents, construction accidents, slip and fall accidents, dog bites, lead paint and nursing home abuse. She has comprehensive knowledge of the many types of injuries clients suffer due to the negligence of others and has successfully litigated cases involving spinal, orthopedic, neurological, burn, disfigurement and psychological injuries.

Prior to joining Palacios Law Group, Ms. Linares-Krivi worked for a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm litigating cases involving motor vehicle accident, slip and fall, construction accident and dog bite. Her work there gave her extensive experience in all phases of the litigation process.  

Ms. Linares-Krivi is dedicated and aggressive in fighting for the rights of the firm’s clients by holding the negligent parties responsible for their actions. She is an invaluable asset to the firm and its clients for whom she zealously advocates at each stage of the litigation process from inception through trial. It is her priority to have her clients fully informed about their cases. She has over 20 years working in the personal injury field.

She earned her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Science, Summa cum laude, from St. John’s University where she was recognized on the Dean’s List and her Associates Degree, Magna cum laude, from Nassau Community College where she was also recognized on the Dean’s List. Her entire educational career was accomplished during the evening while working full time.
